BLT Wraps

Who doesn't like a BLT? Savory Bacon, Crunchy Lettuce and Sweet Tomatoes are the perfect breakfast menage a trois. This recipe subs (no pun intended) the traditional bread options for wholemeal wraps as we find it makes it easier to grab a mouthful of BLT, as apposed to the fillings falling out of the sides. Plus, it makes packing these tasty treats a lot easier! This recipe makes 4 servings.



Ingredients


160 gm VertiVegies Crystal Lettuce

8 - 10 bacon strips

3 tomatoes

4 wholemeal wraps

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup ranch dressing




Recipe


Chop lettuce roughly and dice tomatoes into cubes. In a large skillet, fry the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet, allow to cool and dab to remove the excess oil. Place wrap on a flat surface and spread ranch dressing. Arrange 2 - 3 strips of bacon on one side of the wrap and layer with cheese. Fill with a handful of lettuce and tomato. Fold one side of the wrap over the filling and roll up. Continue with the rest of the wraps.


Pro Tip


Place the wraps in the oven at 180C for 3 minutes after adding the cheese. This will allow the cheese to melt, giving the BLT a richer flavour.
